As a nationally board certified art psychotherapist, licensed professional counselor, supervisor, and author, I have expertise in treating individuals, couples, and families who struggle with eating disorders, self-injurious behaviors, relationship concerns, and trauma issues. I have co-founded The Center for Psyche & the Arts, LLC, with my husband and board certified art psychotherapist, Mark Dean, MFA, MA, ATR-BC, LPC and we have offices in Lansdowne and Berwyn, PA.
The Center for Psyche & the Arts, LLC is founded on the belief that the arts, symbolic process, and creative imagination have affirming, healing, and life enhancing qualities. The Center’s scope of practice includes: art psychotherapy services, continuing education, and personal enrichment opportunities for children and adults, as well as clinical case supervision, and ongoing study and research into the role of creativity and imagination.
“Life can be challenging for anyone. Support though life’s struggles is an essential ingredient for transforming challenges into growth opportunities. I provide a warm and compassionate approach that honors each person’s unique concerns, struggles and triumphs. I draw from a wealth of experience, knowledge, and insights to best meet each of my client’s needs and his or her unique situation. Each person’s treatment is individually based. Whether you work individually, as a family, or in a one of my on-going women’s or girls’ groups, you have the support and encouragement you deserve.” — Michelle L. Dean
