You are not one dimensional; your therapy shouldn’t be either. My experience has taught me the deep and delicate connection between our bodies and our emotions.
Thus, sessions explore wellness through integrating bodywork, counseling, movement, curiosity and play. Healing always begins with an awareness of self, an openness to possibility and a willingness for positive change. You are an active participant in counseling. I am the facilitator. Together, we weave themes of compassion, connection, consciousness, cooperation, concern, collaboration and caring to form the foundation of our work.
My therapeutic evolution took me through massage therapy, physical therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Somatoemotional Release and Mental Health Counseling. I learned first-hand the intricate and integrated relationship between our body and our emotions. Our bodies know truth. Using this knowledge heals at a core level. To support my work in this paradigm, I have completed Level I training of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and will continue on to Level II this fall. For those who have experienced trauma, the Sensorimotor approach is amazing as it encourages healing through awareness and resolution of the physical manifestations of trauma in conjunction with the emotional process.
I believe therapy should occur in a safe, nurturing and affirming environment. I hope you will invite me on your journey. I truly look forward to working with you.
